A utility shirt jacket inspired by 60s OG107 shirt sleeves. The volume of the silhouette has been adjusted, and the name tape on the chest is intentionally stitched on the reverse side, also serving to reinforce the chest pockets. The material is an original fabric made from fine count cupro ripstop, woven by a textile manufacturer in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture. Cupro is a regenerated fiber made from the fuzz around cotton seeds, called cotton linter, which is obtained when cotton is harvested. It is characterized by its hygroscopicity, and because the fibers are too fine, it is a special fiber that can only be woven in Japan. The texture with wrinkles that appear after washing and processing moderates the luster, resulting in a relaxed and gentle feel. This item harmonizes the contrasting features of a sheer material and ripstop, which is often used in military, work, and outdoor wear, creating a wonderful chemical reaction. The pink is madder-based, the khaki is pomegranate dyed with aluminum mordant, and the sumikuro (charcoal black) is dyed with a botanical hybrid dye extracted from binchotan charcoal. We recommend it as a light shirt jacket for summer.
