These ombré check shorts are the same cut as our relaxed PAJAMA PANTS that have been cut off to create PAJAMA SHORTS. We've adjusted the monotonous pattern typical of the original overpants and improved the fit around the waist. While maintaining the volume around the waist, we've added two tucks and a flat elastic band for a better fit. The material used is an original ombré check fabric woven from acetate, cotton, and rayon. The design takes advantage of the different dyes that color the acetate and cotton-rayon parts, allowing the ombré check pattern to emerge when dyed. This season, we employed a dyeing technique called "Chusen" (pour dyeing). Each product is rolled up and tied with a string by artisans, then dye is dripped from above and absorbed from below, allowing it to penetrate the fabric. Since the dye used does not color the acetate parts, the result is an original ombré check with a unique tie-dye effect, creating a one-of-a-kind dye and pattern.
