The design is inspired by a relaxed 50's driver 's jacket that combines tailoring and workwear . It was an experimental challenge to see if product dyeing and shrinkage processing could be done in one go . The difference in shrinkage between the outer and lining fabrics makes the lining look puffy , and the difference in shrinkage in the stitched areas creates a wavy look . We envisioned it being able to be worn in a variety of situations , and aimed to create an item that is comfortable to wear , a tailored set-up that is not too formal . It has been processed using botanical shrinkage dyeing .
