This is a bomber jacket, individually hand-dyed by artisans using the bengara dyeing method.

The design adopted is an L2-B model from the 1960s-70s without epaulets. Unlike the MA-1, it has no padding; instead, the wool surface on the lining side is brushed to give it thickness.

Its sleek silhouette with reduced bulk allows for wear over a long period, which is another characteristic.
The lining uses an original rayon-wool brushed back material. Through processing, the difference in shrinkage of the wool on the back creates puckering on the front and back, reproducing a vintage feel as if it were displayed in a used clothing store, despite being new.

It is reversible and features hand warmer pockets on the reverse side.
For dyeing, artisans hand-dye each piece using a pigment of oxidized iron found in the soil, a byproduct of copper mining in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture, applying the bengara dyeing process.

Due to the mix of various materials, it was a challenging item to reproduce the shrinkage rate and color penetration with product dyeing, but we were able to complete it after much trial and error.
